IQBAL DAY
A colorful and an inspiring ceremony was organized by the Junior Section to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal on 10th November, at the Bilawal Stadium. The program started with the national anthem followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran. The student of class III recited Naat in her melodious voice. The program consisted of English and Urdu speeches, poem elocution, Kalam-e-lqbal and tableau presented on the poem Tarindy ki Faryad’. The program ended with the recital of Dua-e-Said.
ASHRA—E—IQBAL
November marks the Birth Anniversary of Allama Iqbal. Ashra-e-Iqbal was celebrated at Junior Section in which students participated enthusiastically and presented tableau on Allama Iqbal’s poems especially written for children and recited short poems and extracts from his famous poetry. Class II conducted an Assembly where students recited verses of Iqbal’s beautiful poems with confidence and style. A group of students from Class II performed a tableau on lqbal’s poem “Shaihad key makkhi”. Dressed in colorful costumes, the students moved rhythmically and confidently on the song’s beats. Class III conducted an Assembly in an interview session form. A host asked twelve questions for which twelve students replied in Iqbal’s poetic verses in a stylish manner. After the question answer session, two students recited a verse each, from Iqbal’s famous poems “Shikwa” and “Jawab-e-Shikwa”.These presentations developed a love for Iqbal’s poems in our young students.
ACTIVITY OF FIVE SENSES
In the month of November 2022, the students of Preparatory Junior learnt about the five senses through a playful activity using transparent plastic gloves. Teachers had written the names of senses on each finger of the gloves. Straws were attached to the gloves and when the students blew through the straws, they were able to read the senses names on the blown up gloves fingers. When they stopped blowing, the gloves deflated making the children laugh and blow again. It was a very playful and enjoyable activity for the little ones through which they learnt the names of the five senses quickly.
INTERNATIONAL KANGAGROO LINGUISTICS COMPETITION
19th International Kangaroo Linguistics Contest (IKLC) 2022 was held on 17th November, 2022 for the students of class I-V. The contest lasted for 60 minutes. It consists of twenty four to thirty Multiple Choice Questions depending upon the level (grade) of the students based on logical and critical thinking. IKLC aims to promote the good communication skills which is necessary for thriving in today’s world and is helpful for the students to think critically and communicate easily to meet every day challenges.
ACHIEVEMENTS IN SPORTS GALA ORGANIZED BY HABIB GIRLS' SCHOOL
Girls’ squad of Athletes U-11 of Junior Section participated in the Sports Gala 2022 organized by Habib Girls School. Zara Israr got 3rd Position in Hurdle Race and team members of Hamdard Public School Junior Section got 3rd Position in Relay Race.
WORKSHOP ON FORMATION OF URDU ALPHABETS
An invigorating, informative and beneficial workshop was conducted for the Urdu teachers ofJunior Section, on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022. The topic was “Proper formation of Urdu alphabets”. Mrs. Rifat Asim, Senior Teacher, conducted the session in such a manner that the teachers were able to grasp the various mistakes that are usually made while writing Urdu alphabets. Such workshops help the teachers to groom themselves.
